My brother Robbie is with us this week and it's really fun spending time with him. I missed him aylot. We’ve been renting and watching a bunch of movies. Today we watched the Nightmare Before Christmas (which I actually own) and the third Harry Potter movie (which I own too). Hehe But we rented The Pagemaster, Spiderman: The Venom Saga (a cartoon Spiderman movie) and Racing Stripes. We watched Jurassic Park and Aladdin too. I like all those movies, but I wasn’t too fond of Racing Stripes. There were too many celebrities talking as animals. And of course Snoop Dogg was the dog. Haha Yea. So it’s been fun. We played Connect Four today, which I am the master of and Uno and we played basketball and went on the trampoline too. Sunday we went to the movies and we saw Fantastic Four cuz we had free movie tickets and then after we saw Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Fantastic Four wasn't bad. It wasn't the best, but not bad. It was pretty funny to me; it had lots of humor. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was pretty good, but Johnny Depp as Willy Wonka was pretty strange. I don't think he did a very good job, he seemed a little creepy at times. Despite that, the movie did have some things that I thought were better than the first, but there were also things in the first movie that I thought were better. The first movie was really good, I mean, who doesn't love the original? I missed some of the songs and funny quotes that were in the first that seemed to be missing in the new version. But the new version did have some pretty cool scenes that weren't in the original. So I guess I like both and at first I couldn't really decide which was better, but because I have some good childhood memories, I might say the first one. Yes. But anyhoo. Then yesterday we went to the beach. At first it was overcast and cold, so I just read Harry Potter, yes even at the beach I read it. Hehe And then when the sun came out we went in the water and I took my boogie board and went boogie boarding and body surfing. We made a very fancy shmancy sand castle with plastic forks as posts. Hehe And we took sandwiches and chips and cookies that were forbidden until we went to the beach. I had tried to eat some cookies the night before and my mom was like “those are for the beach na na bloo blee blah” : P yea, but they were yummy. I love Newport Beach. The sand was so soft and it felt good under your feetsies. The water was nice too, but for some reason there were some jelly fish. They looked like big blobs of red jello. These kids were taking them out of the water with shovels and putting them in buckets. They seemed pretty harmless to me and they didn’t sting anyone or anything. I just kept away from ‘em if I saw one near me. There were aylot of people at the beach and lots of people boogie boarding too. Eventually I got out of the water when we had to go and I had brought my skateboard, so I was riding it around before we left. I love the beach. I’d love to go with Jeff to the beach sometime. That’d be awesome. : ) It was a lot of fun and Robbie had lots of fun too.
